looking forward to the new year
In 3 more days, 2010 will be over and the new year will be upon us. It's time to make fresh, new resolutions once more. I do love looking forward to new beginnings, as I can finally use my brand new diaries and journals (yes, I usually have more than one) that I have acquired through the year. I am not at home as I write this, for if I were, I would take a photo of my lovely new 2011 journals - two from Kikki K, one from Starbucks.
There are two types of people in this world - those who make resolutions, and those who don't. The Fiance is firmly in the latter camp while I just love the opportunity to make a list out of anything. Never mind that these resolutions are usually broken on the first day, or forgotten half-way through the year, the point is, it's very satisfying to start off the year with a list of goals, hopes and dreams. This year I will try to put it where I can see it everyday and thus, hope to remember them daily and work towards making them come true! :)
Next year will be a very exciting year for me, as I will be planning my own wedding and it will be in the Year of the Rabbit, according to the Chinese calendar. It could not be more fortutious as I love bunnies and all things rabbity.
So without further ado, in no particular order, let me present my List of Marvellous Resolutions for 2011
- Plan and execute a beautiful, whimsical and wonderful wedding for both of us that reflects our personalities, celebrates our union, and one that all our friends and family truly enjoy
- Reduce my visceral fat. OK, that's belly fat. There, I've said it. (Insert panda picture "Seconds" here) One too many desserts and one day you wake up and you can't wear your bikini anymore. That's life after 30 for ya.
- Have a FABULOUS job that makes LOADS of money because I will be needing funds to finance the wedding, and house, and furniture. (Insert paypal "donate" icon here). When I say FABULOUS, I mean a job that does not suck my soul dry, I can see sunlight once in a while, and I have my weekends. Good location, mild jam and flexible hours. Extra bonuses for it being in an ergonomical and aesthetically pleasing environment with decent coffee and food.
- Think ABUNDANCE!
- Be Positive and Patient. Be tolerant of idiots; instead of scorn, smother with kindness. Send love and light.
- Develop and Deepen existing friendships. Grow new ones.
- Be Grateful.
- Grow my blog.
- Do something creative every day.
- Love my loved ones lots. (not a tongue twister)
- Take more photos of Bucky and spend more time with him as he is carrying on in age.
What's yours? :)
